GHFM ADOPTS A ROAD

Our Market has adopted a road as a way to show our community our appreciation for their support of our market.  The road is Pt. Fosdick between Olympic and 356th (both sides).  Signs will soon be erected on each side, so watch for them.

Danny Heath is Adopt-a-Road committee chairman and needs volunteers willing to help with the cleanup.  The city provides safety equipment, caution signs, trash bags, etc.  The first work party is Tuesday, April 12th, at 10:00 am.  If you have questions, or plan to volunteer, call Danny at (360) 876-5852.  Please call first to find out where to meet and what you need to know beforehand, and so that the number of volunteers doesn’t exceed the city’s requirements.

Don’t worry if you can’t make this work party, there will be three more work parties later this year.

ED HUME WILL BE AT THE MARKET APRIL 24

Ed Hume is one of America’s best-know garden authorities. His talents as a newspaper columnist, radio commentator, and television personality have grown to where his television show, “Gardening in America” is the longest continuously running gardening program in the nation.

Hume garden articles have appeared in many local, regional, and national publications, and he is the author of several books. But what Hume is perhaps best know for is his radio program “Gardening With Ed Hume” that goes on the air every Saturday morning in the Northwest.

Hume is also well known for his personal appearances and lectures, drawing crowds of avid gardeners for all skills and ages. Hume Seeds also supports Plant-A-Row for the Hungry.
